Abstract
Objective: To describe the situation of treatment adherence among patients with type 2 Diabetes of Outpatients in Quang Ninh Hospital, 2016.
Method: The cross-sectional descriptive, study on 198 type 2 Diabetes patients.
Results: The percentage of knowledge about disease and adherence treatment accounted for 66.7%, yet still up to 33.3% had not reached the knowledge. Rate of patients following dietary: 58.1%; Physical activity: 66.7%; medicine: 69.2%; Seft- blood glucose monitoring and regular follow-up visits: 26.8%. All 4 factors are 5.1%.
Conclusion: Adherence treatment rates of type 2 diabetic outpatients in Quang Ninh provincial hospital remain in low level. Therefore, it is necessary to have support methods for patients’ better adherence treatment which improve patients’ quality of life in the future.
