Abstract

Objective: To assess clinical features and X-ray imaging of knee joint damage.

Method: Cross-sectional study of 250 osteoarthritis patients diagnosed and treated at the hospital’s 204 clinic and treated at the Nam Dinh General Hospital from January 2020 to August 2020. To collect clinical data, tests and radiological signs according to available medical records and give results base on medical records Analysis of algorithm data baw on statistical software and give results to research objectives.

Results: Patients over 70 years old accounted for 59.6%, women (68.8%). Patients with pain in both knee joints accounted for 75.2%; limited movement of the knee joint accounts for 88.4%; joint leakage: 78.8%, joint pain when walking: 78%, scratching the joints: 94%; signs of wood shavings: 65.2%; bone headache at examination 52.4%; according to Lequesne classification, there were 72.4% of patients with severe injury or more. All patients had bone spines on X-ray images, of which tibial plateau spines accounted for 74.4%; kneecap spines 53.6%; narrow joints 69.6%; according to Kellgren and Laxvrence classification, X-ray lesions of stage III and IV were 69.6%.

Conclusion: Age, body mass index is related to X-ray image of joint damage according to Kellgren and Lawrence: The older you are, the more weight you weigh, the more severe the damage to the knee joint on the radiograph is.
