Abstract
Objectives: Determine factors related to the mobility status of patients after combined lower extremity surgery at the Department of Burns - Orthopedic Trauma, Nam Dinh General Hospital in 2020.
Subjects and research method: Research subjects include 149 patients after lower limb combined surgery at the Department of Orthopedic Trauma-Burns, in the general Hospital in Nam Dinh. Descriptive research on 149 patients after surgery.
Results: Surgical method, surgical site, age (p < 0.05) were correlated with postoperative movement. Postoperative pain, social support had a strong correlation with postoperative movement (r = -0.934; -0.659; 0.304; 0.542; p < 0.05). Older patients are less active than younger patients (SD = 2,99; 2,83; 2,84; p<0,05). Patients with fractures in the shin bone have better mobility than patients with femoral neck and femur fractures (r = - 0,292; - 0,285,p<0,05 ); Patients with bone grafts with intramedullary nails have better mobility than other bone grafting methods (SD = 2,61; 3,82; 3,04; p<0,05).
Conclusion: 92,6% of patients with satisfactory exercise at the time of hospital discharge. Age, surgical site, surgical method, pain level and social support correlation with patient's movement after surgery.In care, nurses rely on this correlation to give positive effects to improve the quality and ability to recover movement after lower limb fracture surgery.
