Abstract
Objective: This study was conducted to describe the current status of quality of life and some related factors in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease treated at Nam Dinh General Hospital in 2017.
Method: The study was designed by a cross-sectional descriptive study in 90 patients diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease treated at Nam Dinh General Hospital.
Results: The content of quality of life assessment of the object is in the lowest level of special low in the subject of self-assessment of health. The quality of life of people with social support was lower than those with medium and high social support with p <0.01. Patients with no dyspnea / dyspnea score of 1.2 had a better quality of life than patients with dyspnea at 3.4 with p <0.001. Patients with mild / no fatigue had a better quality of life than those with moderate or severe fatigue with p <0.01.
Conclusion: There are 3 factors affecting the quality of life of the study subjects: social support, dyspnea and fatigue of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
